Alexandrine Parakeet at Madras Christian College

On a quiet afternoon at MCC campus, nature surprised me with a beautiful visitor. A bright green parakeet gently landed on the roof of a parked car, completely unafraid of its surroundings. The sunlight touched its feathers, making the green shades glow softly against the dark, shiny surface of the car. The peaceful trees in the background added a calm and refreshing atmosphere to the moment. The bird looked curious and confident. It tilted its head, observed everything around it, and even looked straight at the camera as if posing for a photograph. Its red beak, sharp eyes, and the thin black ring around its neck made it look elegant and unique. The reflection of the bird on the car roof created a beautiful mirror effect, doubling the charm of the scene.
What made the moment special was the silence of the campus. Only the rustling leaves and soft chirping could be heard. The parakeet slowly walked along the car roof, pecking gently and exploring its surroundings like a tiny explorer. It felt as though nature and the campus life were perfectly connected. This simple encounter reminded me that MCC is not just a place of education but also a home for nature. Birds, trees, and fresh air give life to the campus and make every day peaceful and memorable. Capturing this parakeet through my camera felt like capturing a small piece of nature’s beauty. This simple encounter reminded me that MCC is not just a place of education but also a home for nature.
